#MES Insights: Platform for suppliers of electronics to the mobility sector starts today with a wide range of topics

From 9 to 11 November at the virtual edition of #MES Insights the focus is on the future of mobility. #MES Insights is the virtual addition to MES Expo. It specifically targets suppliers of electronics to the mobility sector and provides rail, utility vehicle and automotive companies with a platform for exchanging views and networking, one that deals with multiple modes of transport.

“Be it driverless vehicles, electrification or connectivity – the mobility sector is facing fundamental change. The basis for these developments is the electronics supply industry. With MES Expo, we have created a trade fair that gathers all the players and provides an overview of modern forms of mobility. MES Expo and #MES Insights, the virtual addition to the fair, combine the transport modes of rail and road while specifically targeting electronics suppliers“, said Martin Ecknig, CEO of Messe Berlin.

Focus on electromobility, digitisation and sustainability

Green, digital and connected – the future of mobility has many facets. This is also reflected in the many topics of the lectures and discussion rounds. At the Dialogue Forum experts from the Electro-Industry Association (ZVEI), the German Railway Industry Association (VDB) and the German Transport Forum (DVF), a business association representing multiple forms of transport, will highlight the latest industry trends. The topics are 'Electric mobility in conurbations - concepts, connectivity and infrastructure' (ZVEI, 9 November, 10.15 to 11.45 a.m.), 'Sustainable, connected and affordable – what is the benchmark for future mobility?’ (DVF, 10 November, 10 to 11.30 a.m.), and ’A 360-degree transformation: the digital transport revolution in the rail industry' (VDB, 10 November, 2 to 3.30 p.m.).

At the Partner Sessions exhibitors including Berlin Partner, Inpolis UCE GmbH, Prima Electro S.p.A. and Vector Informatik GmbH will present their visions of the digital future of mobility. Rounding off the supporting programme of #MES Insights will be a B2B Joint Venture Exchange matchmaking event, organised by EEN Enterprise Europe Network Berlin-Brandenburg, a partner of MES. The matchmaking event will bring buyers and suppliers together.

Siemens Mobility Supplier Award honours outstanding suppliers

A highlight of the event is the presentation of the Siemens Mobility Supplier Award, whose aim is to recognise outstanding achievements, inspire suppliers and share best practices. The award honours suppliers who over the past business year have contributed significantly to the success of Siemens Mobility – in the categories Technology & Innovation, Logistics Performance, Competitiveness, Quality und Moving Beyond.
