#MES Insights: Users can register for free
Taking place for the second time, #MES Insights invites suppliers of electronics to the mobility sector to network with each other and exchange views. The focus is on the rail, utility vehicle and automotive industries at this three-day event, where industry representatives will hold keynote speeches, discussion rounds and lectures on the latest industry trends. The online platform #MES Insights 2021 is a virtual addition to the international B2B MES Expo event, which will take place in person again on its scheduled 2023 dates in Berlin.

By entering the voucher code ’#MESInsights’ users can register directly on the platform of #MES Insights at https://www.virtualmarket.mobility-electronics.de/en/register, follow the programme live and take part in networking events. Media and press representatives can also use the code to access the programme. No separate accreditation is required.
Programme highlights
Tuesday, 9 November
At the opening event on Tuesday at 9 a.m., representatives of the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (ZVEI), the German Railway Industry Association (VDB), the German Transport Forum (DVF) and Messe Berlin CEO Martin Ecknig will be the main speakers. They will be followed by Don Dahlmann, a journalist, author and expert on the future of mobility, who in his keynote speech will talk about ’the future of mobility – prospects and opportunities’ (9.30 – 10 a.m.). In it, he will examine how self-driving vehicles will change mobility concepts, and what is needed in order for the digital transformation in the mobility sector to succeed. At the end of day one Karl Blaim (CFO Siemens Mobility GmbH) and Rainer Straub (CPO Siemens Mobility GmbH) will present the Siemens Mobility Supplier Award to suppliers, who over the past business year have contributed significantly to the success of Siemens Mobility – in the categories Technology & Innovation, Logistics Performance, Competitiveness, Quality and Moving Beyond.
Wednesday, 10 November
On Wednesday, the programme will focus on the non-commercial and technical sponsors of the event. At 10 a.m. the DVF will hold a talk entitled ’Sustainable, connected and affordable – what is the benchmark for future mobility?', and at 2 p.m. the VDB will discuss 'A 360-degree transformation: the digital transport revolution in the rail industry’. In between these two events the DVV Media Group GmbH will hold a discussion round from 11.30 a.m. to 12.15 p.m.
Thursday, 11 November
On the last day of the event at 9.30 a.m., under the heading ’Charging with AC or DC – but make it smart’, Vector Informatik GmbH will look at ways to charge electric vehicles at home. At the Woman in Mobility event, Julia Beumer (DILAX Intelcom GmbH), Rieke Dibbern (MOIA GmbH) and Lieke Ypma (Hello Impact Berlin) will discuss ’Who are the users? Data-driven mobility’. Berlin Partner Start-Ups and the DVV Media Group GmbH will also be holding a discussion round.
