Presenting MES Expo at InnoTrans

- Electronics supplier industry an important partner in the digitization of the mobility sector

- Cross-system B2B marketing platform for the transport industry

- MES Expo at Booth 102 in Hall 10.1 at InnoTrans

Whether in rail and road transport, local public transport or goods services – the digital transformation affects the entire mobility sector. Driverless vehicles, electrification and connectivity are also among the main themes at InnoTrans, the leading international trade fair for transport technology that is taking place on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds from 18 to 21 September 2018. Since it provides the industrial basis for digitization and interconnectedness in mobility, the electronics sector has a major role to play in the digital development of this field. It is for this reason that MES Expo, the new trade fair for electronics suppliers to the mobility sector, is being featured for the first time at InnoTrans, where it can be found at Booth 102 in Hall 10.1. MES Expo stands for Mobility Electronics Suppliers Expo and has been created specifically for the electrical engineering industry as a B2B marketing platform covering all kinds of mobility systems. In future, it will be taking place every two years on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds, and will be held for the first time from 5 to 7 November 2019.

“MES Expo is the only trade fair intended solely for mobility electronics suppliers, and focuses on automobiles, commercial vehicles and rail transport. The trade visitors we are aiming to attract comprise vehicle manufacturers, transport companies and the manufacturers and suppliers of transport technology, as well as representatives of politics, science and research”, according to Matthias Steckmann, manager for this division at Messe Berlin. The exhibitors at MES Expo will present a wide range of innovative products, from the charging infrastructure for electro-mobility to power units and safety systems for driverless vehicles. Accompanying this event will be a number of short, concentrated forums at which trade visitors can engage in a dialogue about relevant topics.

MES Expo is being supported by the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association ZVEI, which includes 200 member companies specializing in mobility and covering the entire range of products from the electronics sector. The German Railway Industry Association (VDB) is also involved, representing the manufacturers of every kind of product used in railway operations.
